Now that the heathens have taken partial control over our country, don't be surprised if we are besieged by a fury of tornados, hurricanes, and fires. I recommend that everyone go to your local house of worship (Church of Christ) and pray that we be delivered from the evil baby killing commies that have taken over.
Actually I hope nothing gets done, well three things Iraq, renewable energy, and immigration control. But the Repubs lost the moral highground which they never really had anyway and they got slammed for it. It also will turn people in our age group away from the GOP, it certainly has me. Although I vote for a suprising number of republicans on Tuesday.
Make no mistake, there will be alot of congressional witchhunting over Iraq and Halliburton etc. but I too hope that we can get something done. I am just very pleased that many of the Republicans who came into Congress wrapped in the flag and carrying a Cross have shown their true colors.
After the past couple of years, I'm fed up with the Republicans. I think they've taken undeserved hits on the economy. I believe they've done a good job in that area. Other than that though, they've been a dissapointment. Matt's right about them losing the moral highground, and that's pretty much what got them in office to begin with. I'm not a huge fan of the Democratic leadership, but I hope they do a better job than the GOP did the past few years. Mostly, I hope the new group of Dems coming in can bring a fresh attitude to Washington. In summary, the Democratic party is the party of Satan and all that is evil, and they now run our country.
